Get Connected!

In modern times, it’s easy to think that we’re connected to one another because we’re online or because we see each other by plane/car/webcam, but what we often lack in our faith journey is a deep connection with other believers. Without realizing it we may be lacking intimacy, common purpose, teamwork, etc., even when we come to church. Whether we check Facebook three times a day or go to church three times a week, we can still lack connection with God and the Spirit. Acts 2: 43-47 describes life among believers as interconnected. They experienced miracles together, pooled their resources to do good works, shared meals in their homes, and worshipped and prayed together. It seems like they did not take this connection for granted as they continued to meet and pray together whenever needs and new opportunities arose.
On Sunday, September 13, I invite you to participate in worship and, then, a special Coffee Hour after the service so we can Get Connected! If you have not been able to come to church in a while–for whatever reason–I encourage you to come check it out! Get connected with folks like you, people searching for God, joy, purpose, answers. And if you’ve been attending regularly, I encourage you to come and get connected in a NEW way. There are always new opportunities and needs to serve, grow, and support each other in this journey. We will have church leaders available to share about their teams & ministries and conversation to hear about your interests and questions.
During September, I will be preaching about the Holy Spirit because we need to get connected to our power for living as well as each other! See you soon!
