To become true friends of Christ and to win new friends for Christ

Jesus said, “I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you” (John 15:15). He also stated, “You are my friends if you do what I command….love one another” (John 15:14,17). Love is the identifying mark of Christians in Jesus’ words to his friends, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). Jesus’ commands to love and to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19-20) form the foundation of our mission:
